First Aid Training Course Information
The first aid training course offers an enthusiastic, fun, and effective approach to First Aid & CPR training. Participants of this program will be better equipped to confidently and effectively respond and assist in an emergency situation.
Duration
Emergency: one day course / Standard: two day course
Course Topics
- Training includes adult, child and infant CPR

The recognition and treatment of airway

Breathing, and cardiovascular emergencies

A full automated external defibrillators (AED) certification

Choking management

Management of shock, fainting and severe bleeding

Management of a casualty who has been burned or poisoned, seizure or a diabetic emergency

Treatment of broken bones or head or spinal injuries

Safety and prevention of illness and injury
Legislation
According to Regulation 1101, all workplaces in Ontario covered by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA) must provide first aid training to their employees. For workplaces with five or fewer people working on any one shift, at least one must have an emergency first aid certificate. Our First Aid training meets and exceed the requirements of the governing body for first aid delivery organizations in the Province of Ontario.
